Department of Youth Coaching & Counseling
The Department of Youth Coaching & Counseling provides a practical curriculum which integrates youth education, counseling and coaching. We introduced the concept of 'coach' for the first time in Korea. Our goal is to foster creative youth education experts based on the followings: ① One-stop education system which nurtures youth education, counseling and coaching specialists at the same time; ② practical certificate-centric education such as Youth Instructor and Youth Counselor; ③ Korea’s finest faculty with experts in youth education, counseling and coaching; ④ best contents covering both theory and practices. The Department of Youth Coaching & Counseling is concentrating its energies on training of the action officers in charge of rewarding youth as an official organization of [The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award] and [Youth Self-Challenge Reward System].
Objectives
- Youth Leader : As a professional activity leader at the Activity for the Youth
- Youth Instructor : As a teacher or youth Instructor in almost all youth activity-related fields including youth-related institution/organization, youth training center, welfare center, counseling center and after-school class
- Youth Counselor, Vocational Counselor : As a youth counselor or vocational counselor at a counseling-related institution
- Career and Guidance Counselor : As a career and guidance counselor at youth-related institution/organization, school, private institute and after-school class
- Korea Associate Coach(KAC) : As a coach in various coaching-needed fields such as learning coaching, career coaching, personality coaching and leadership coachin
- Recreation Instructor : Leisure activity planning, event planning, event director, recreation expert, reporter
- Moving on to Graduate School : Moving on to the graduate school to study youth guidance, counseling, coaching or educatio
