Department of New Media Design

The Department of New Media Design aims to foster professional designers who understand design thinking and human experience in the smart media era. It also help them plan and produce various new media contents such as broadcasting and video content design, Internet web and mobile application design, AR/VR contents, cartoon, infographics, and visual communication design.

Objectives

  • The video content design course provides a curriculum to plan and produce multimedia content to advance into the video design field.
  • The smart design course provides a curriculum to plan and produce web and application design content based on a user interface.
  • The visual communication design course provides a curriculum for designers who will advance into visual designers in each field of various industries.
  • From the current students, 50% or more is the current designers that this department is enabled to structure human network and advancement to design related information exchange and advance to be a designer.

    - Through the linked program with management, psychology and childhood departments of our school, the education program is provided to facilitate design in more diverse aspects and it enables to acquire the private qualification as color therapist and childhood art instructor.

    - ACE(Adobe Certified Expert), ACI(Adobe Certified Instructor), KCCAI(KCU Certified Children's Art Instructor), KCCT(KCU Certified Color Therapy)

  • Advancements after the graduation :
    Graduates may work in New Media Design, including manufacturing digital contents (for broadcasting companies, advertising companies, media design companies, game development companies, web agencies, service design companies), brand design, graphic design, publication design, interior design, space design, publication design, children’s art education, color therapy etc.
